Volunteer Requirements

1.    Register with USA Hockey as a volunteer.
2.    Background screening.  Must be completed every two years.
3.    SafeSport training.  This is required every two years.
4.    Register as a volunteer with SLPHA.

SLPHA Guidelines for Locker Room Monitoring

Each team will have the Team Manager, or someone the Manager appoints to oversee the monitors.  Every team should have 3 or 4 parents that are approved and have had their background check done through MN Hockey (Link below)

Guidelines for the times before and after each event below (unless a change occurs between the manager and coaches for times, but a minimum of below)

• Practice - 30 minutes before and 15 minutes after.
• Games - 45 minutes before and 15 minutes after.

Once the coach shows up and will be in the locker room for the duration, the monitors can leave the room.

Locker room monitors are not the coaches and should not act like one
