Mite Levels

Learn to Play Hockey            Players brand new to hockey, Pre-K through 3rd grade, ages 4-9

Termite | Pre-K                           Players in Pre-K, typically ages 4-5

Mini Mite | 6U                             Players in Kindergarten and 1st grade, typically ages 5-7

Upper Mite | 8U                         Players in 2nd and 3rd grade, typically ages 7-9

Girls have the option of skating in the Mite program  which is co-ed, or in the Girls program which is girls only.  
 
The SLPHA Mite program is exclusively held at the SLP Rec Center. The HP (Hopkins Park) Girls program is a partnership with Hopkins and players skate at the Rec Center, Hopkins Pavilion, and the Minnetonka Ice Arena.
 

Ice times are generally on Saturday and Sunday starting in mid- to late-October and running to early March.  The Mini Mite and Upper Mite levels have an additional weeknight of ice time. Additional outdoor rink practices/games may be held for Mini Mite and Upper Mite levels once ice is available.
